Lenovo laptops are generally compatible with the Dell USB-C docks, as well as Lenovo USB-3 docks. In fact, the Dell docks are often better, as they charge the laptop as well.
This applies to the Lenovo ThinkPad L480, X280 and X1 Carbon devices.
