ISO9001 Standard - Quality Management Systems

Friday, Oct 21 2011

Congratulations to everyone in ICT after they were awarded the internationally recognised ISO9001 standard for quality management systems.

The standard was awarded early October after the teams proved to an inspector that the business meets all the required elements.

The emphasis for the international standard is on customer focus and ICT has had to prove to the auditor that everything it delivers meets customer requirements and that it is continually improving its services, reviews services regularly and is working towards improving customer satisfaction.

ICT also holds the internationally recognised standard ISO27001 for Information Security Management System, ensuring data is always secure.

The ISO9001 will be reviewed every six months to ensure ICT is still compliant with the standard.

Ian Miles, Head of ICT and Design and Print Services, said: ?This is another important step for ICT, proving to our current and potential future customers that we will strive to provide the best service we can for them in the continually evolving and often challenging world of ICT.?

?Well done to all the team who work hard to keep the Council?s ICT systems running.?
